Mongolia is a country well-known for luxury cashmere. The lesser-known traditions of camel and yak herding are, after millennia, a perfected practice and symbiotic relationship between people, animals, and land.

Meet the Founder

My name is Sheyenne Sky and I am a Diné entrepreneur living in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Tewa lands. I lived in Mongolia off and on for a total of five years from 2010 to 2020. While living in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar as a high school student, I first started to develop the concept of a global identity. I recognized many cultural similarities as well as systemic issues that my Diné community back home shared with the Mongolian people. 

I started this business as a final project in a financial modeling class at Harvard in 2020. Affordability, sustainability, ethical sourcing, and indigenous-led manufacturing were central to the development of my idea from the beginning. The following year was spent nurturing the concept of what would eventually become LAND+OBJECT…
